Company History
Key milestones in MEDICON's development, international projects, scientific achievements, and advancements in gyroscopic technologies.
MEDICON Research and Production Enterprise was established in 1991.
The company's primary objective was the development of a two-piece Hemispherical Resonator Gyroscope (HRG), intended for use in a wide range of applications, including space systems.
Between 1995 and 1998, the company developed a compact quartz resonator successfully used in civil-grade gyroscopes.
During the same period, MEDICON created unique equipment for precision balancing of quartz resonators.
Between 1994 and 2004, the company developed systems for chemical etching, metallization, and vacuum assembly of resonators.
From 1999 to 2012, MEDICON actively fulfilled international contracts involving the development, manufacturing, and delivery of production equipment to China and the Republic of Korea.
The company also collaborated closely with the Ramenskoye Instrument Design Bureau on advanced gyroscopic technologies.
Since 2010, MEDICON has been conducting research and development activities focused on solid-state angular rate measurement units for JSC Information Satellite Systems named after Academician M. F. Reshetnev.
